YOUR SESSION
I want you to get excited! This is more than just an everyday photo shoot. I want you to feel how special you are and capture the many sides of what makes you, you. Your portrait experience is designed for you. Everything from location and attire, to the mood you want for your images, your session is a one-of-a-kind reflection of you.
Your session includes a consultation design session, wardrobe changes, fully guided portrait session, full retouching, and a reveal get-together. You may also choose to include professional hair and makeup as part of your session.
I am interested in booking a session, when is the best time to schedule with you?
Depending on the time of year, it is best to book 3-4 weeks in advance. If you are interested in booking with me, please call to schedule as soon as possible to arrange the dates you have in mind. Following your booking I will send you a copy of my contract which you will be asked to read over, sign, and bring to your session.

Now that I set a date, where will we take the pictures?
As an on location photographer, most of my shoots are outdoors using natural light. Sessions are held at a local destination of your choice. If you need help, I’m happy to work with you on selecting a location with the style your looking for in your photographs (scenic, urban, classic). I highly recommend choosing a location that holds personal meaning to you. The ideal location should have plenty of natural light, so please keep this in mind if you are considering an indoor location.

What time of the day do you shoot?
The best natural lighting conditions are during he evening hours or early morning. The best light is usually in the last 2-3 hours before the sun sets or for morning sessions, about an hour after sunrise.

I’m a Senior, how is that different?
Your Senior year is very special, and can be one of the best times of your life. My sessions are about having a unique and fun senior portrait that captures your personality and style. These sessions are usually around 3 hours and can include multiple locations. Together we will capture everything from the laughing to the serious. Bring several outfits, accessories, and anything that you would like to have in your pictures (for example, if you play a sport, bring your gear, play the guitar? bring it too!) Showcasing your personality and style is important, whether its country, fashion, urban, or classic. Styled sessions with a professional make-up artist are available, please let me know if you are interested in this option! Call or email me and we’ll chat about the possibilities.

What should I wear?
Clothing is an important part of your photographs. It is important to stay true to your style, but I also have some suggestions which should help the final outcome of your portraits. I definitely recommend solid-colors or simple patterns when choosing your outfits; you don’t want your clothing to be distracting. I recommend wearing something fitted, fitted clothing will always flatter your figure; and wear something that makes you feel fantastic. Think of it as an opportunity to make a day of it, plan on going out after your shoot. When you feel great it shows!

What can I expect during the session?
I really want the session to be laid back and relaxed, so sessions generally range between 1-2 hours. I have found that taking a moment to talk and walk around the location a little before starting helps everyone get more comfortable and feel more natural before I start shooting. I want to get to know you and let your personality shine through. There will be times when I will provide direction and ask you to look at the camera, and other times when I prefer to stand back and just let you be yourself. Every session is unique, and it’s always exciting to see how a session will look when it’s completed.
